On Monday, Julie Dixon presented an update regarding the Downtown Parking Management Study, which seeks to improve parking management in the commercial core of this highly popular Southern California destination. Goals include evaluating the existing parking program, developing administrative guidelines and operations to future-proof the program, implementing technology enhancements, improving the parking experience, and enhancing compliance.
In addition to presenting to the community, the DIXON team fielded comments utilizing our Parking Magic Wand exercise to see what residents and businesses would like to see in their community. From resident parking perks to employee parking needs, to the availability of parking and everything in between, the full house provided valuable insights and direction for the Study, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
