
This second part of the series highlights Peter MacDonald, Ben Verdugo, and Cameron Clark, who are advancing the industry through regional leadership, recognizing project excellence, and driving innovation in parking technology and AI applications.
Peter MacDonald serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Parking and Transportation Association (SWPTA), an organization dedicated to fostering connections, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among parking and transportation professionals in the Southwest region.

Ben Verdugo serves on the 2025 IPMI Awards of Excellence committee, where he and his diverse panel of volunteer judges review submissions recognizing project ingenuity, sustainability, and customer experience. The awards span several categories, including architectural and facility design, surface parking, restoration, sustainable design, marketing and communications, and innovation in mobility or parking programs. In 2025, the committee recognized outstanding projects from 23 submissions.
Cameron Clark serves on IPMI's Technology Committee, where he has been an active member for three years, including participation in the Annual Presentation Subcommittee. He develops educational content highlighting how technology transforms the parking and mobility industry. Last year, Cameron presented "Driving Innovation: The AI-Powered Evolution of Parking" at both PIPTA and SWPTA, exploring opportunities, challenges, and real-world applications of AI in parking while collaborating with peers to evaluate emerging technologies and advance thought leadership.
