At Monday’s San Fernando City Council meeting, Julie Dixon presented the Residential Parking Plan, which features guidelines and recommendations to revamp the City’s existing Residential Parking Permit (RPP) program, as well as other strategic parking management recommendations to improve the parking experience for residents. Councilmembers expressed support for an equitable program that can address residents’ parking needs and provided valuable feedback and direction for next steps.
Based on Council direction, the City will be moving forward with a first hearing for an ordinance to adopt the RPP program guidelines. The DIXON team is excited to continue collaborating with Public Works staff in improving the residential parking experience.
