This October, the DIXON team is headed to Las Vegas, NV, for the 2026 Southwest Parking & Transportation Association (SWPTA) Annual Conference at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. DIXON is proud to be a longtime Dignitary sponsor of SWPTA, and we’re thrilled that our own Peter MacDonald is leading the association as its current president.

We’re honored to contribute two sessions that put people and the industry’s future at the center of the conversation. For our Power Pitch, we will be doing a data collection relay, simulating different data collection methods in a fun and creative way! And with Halloween right around the corner, keep an eye out for the DIXON team in our group costume at the Power Hour.
The Wellness Gap in Parking and Mobility: Measuring Support, Participation, and Impact
Vanessa Solesbee, Principal at DIXON, and Nick Nicholas, Captain with the Seal Beach Police Department, will present findings from a SWPTA wellness survey on what parking and mobility organizations offer to support employee health, whether employees are using those resources, and what barriers limit participation. The session treats wellness as an organizational and leadership issue, not a personal one, and offers practical, scalable strategies for managing stress, supporting staff after difficult incidents, and building more resilient teams.
Past Presidents Panel: Honoring Our Legacy, Shaping Our Future
Julie Dixon, DIXON's President, will join fellow SWPTA past presidents to reflect on how the association and the industry have evolved, from traditional parking management to today’s focus on mobility, technology, and sustainability. Panelists will share lessons learned, advice for future leaders, and their vision for SWPTA as it approaches its 50th anniversary. Whether you’re a longtime member or attending for the first time, this is a rare chance to hear from the people who built the association.
We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
